Thank you for your all wisdom and guidance throughout this process. It only felt right to let you be one of the first to know that I was just accepted to Kaiser!!

Feeling so grateful and blessed, especially because of the financial situation. Will hear back from the other schools I’ve interviewed at (Colorado, Northwestern, Duke, Harvard, Ohio State)  within the next couple of months. But again, just grateful for having even one acceptance.

I was accepted at Kaiser, Duke, Colorado, and Ohio State, and I’m waitlisted in Northwestern and Harvard. I am so grateful for you and your encouragement throughout these past two years. You were truly a critical part to navigate this hard process and for my sucess, and I will miss you dearly.

I wanted to reach out to thank you for all of the advising, feedback and guidance you provided me during my medical school application cycle this past year. I’m happy to share that I received a number of acceptances to MD/PhD programs and have decided to commit to the University of Pittsburgh/Carnegie Mellon MSTP. I am very excited for all that is to come and couldn’t have gotten here without your help.

Of those 9, I have already been accepted to 3 (hooray!); awaiting response from the others. I wanted to let you know that I selected “Commit to Enroll” at University of Pittsburgh medical school. I appreciate your work in advising me over the years. I’ve had many advisors (2-3 advisors in college bc I transferred colleges, one external advisor who I later dropped, and I met several other advisors (…) in the last couple of years to get a sense of different approaches. I have to say your advice was the most helpful by far. Some advisors quickly skimmed my essays and said my app was good (I think they wanted me to leave their office), while others gave advice that didn’t make sense (to get a masters, which I almost did). I can see that you read every sentence of my personal statement, dissected every section of my app, and gave very thorough feedback and constructive criticism. Thank you for this great mentorship. I hope to bump into someone like you for a residency mentor!
My application cycle was much more successful this time. I received interviews at 1/3 of the MD programs I applied to and got into 4 schools.
