Testimonials

Hear directly from students who’ve worked with us. Their experiences reflect the personalized support and proven strategies we offer on the path to medical school success.

Dr. Hernandez-Ramon was an incredible mentor throughout my medical school application journey. From our initial meetings, she took a holistic approach to evaluating my qualifications, experiences, and background, offering thoughtful and realistic feedback that helped me identify both my strengths and areas for growth. She kept me accountable with regular check-ins and was genuinely committed to my progress and confidence. Her ability to truly understand me as an applicant, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and draw on her deep knowledge of the admissions process gave me the boost of confidence I needed to apply to schools I never imagined would later offer me interviews, let alone acceptance! I’m truly grateful for her guidance and the care she brought to every step of the process.

Dr Hernandez-Ramon was instrumental in my success applying to medical school. Her thorough review of my application and essays helped me turn random floating thoughts and difficult lived experiences into a story that could be easily understood and that could portray my real journey. As a result, I had a very successful interview season and had multiple medical school acceptances.

  • I took the MCAT twice. The first time around, I studied very long hours for many weeks, trying to learn every single detail. It was still not enough for a competitive score. The second time around, I had Dr Hernandez-Ramon’s mentorship, which completely changed the way I tackled the content and exam. Her personalized advice and years of experience helped me tailor my studying to my specific areas of weaknesses and play my strengths accordingly. Her thorough mentorship covered basic aspects, such as how to memorize details, and also bigger scale things, such as what time of the day to study and for how long. As a result, I was able to score 14 points higher the second time around and successfully applied and got accepted to many medical schools.
  • Once I moved on to medical school, I stayed in touch with Dr Hernandez-Ramon. She remained a calm and warm acquaintance and I was very fortunate to work with her through advising events. Not only am I thankful to her for helping me get into medical school, but also for supporting me beyond, and for being an ally and friend when I most needed it. I would recommend her services to any premed!

Thank you for your all wisdom and guidance throughout this process. It only felt right to let you be one of the first to know that I was just accepted to Kaiser!!

Feeling so grateful and blessed, especially because of the financial situation. Will hear back from the other schools I’ve interviewed at (Colorado, Northwestern, Duke, Harvard, Ohio State)  within the next couple of months. But again, just grateful for having even one acceptance.

I wanted to let you know that I selected “Commit to Enroll” at University of Pittsburgh medical school. I appreciate your work in advising me over the years. I’ve had many advisors (2-3 advisors in college bc I transferred colleges, one external advisor who I later dropped, and I met several other advisors (…) in the last couple of years to get a sense of different approaches. I have to say your advice was the most helpful by far. Some advisors quickly skimmed my essays and said my app was good (I think they wanted me to leave their office), while others gave advice that didn’t make sense (to get a masters, which I almost did). I can see that you read every sentence of my personal statement, dissected every section of my app, and gave very thorough feedback and constructive criticism. Thank you for this great mentorship. I hope to bump into someone like you for a residency mentor! My application cycle was much more successful this time. I received interviews at 1/3 of the MD programs I applied to and got into 4 schools.
